Fees / Charges for Flights to/from the U.S.

This is a list of fees / charges for baggage and other optional services available in connection with ANA flights to/from the U.S. that are operated by ANA or by its subsidiary Air Japan (AJX). For other codeshare flights, different fees / charges may apply. Please refer to the operating carrier's website for details.

Checked Baggage Fees

When exceeding the free baggage allowance, please note that the following excess baggage fees may be charged.

  • ・When a codeshare flight or flight operated by another airline is included in your itinerary,the baggage rules of other carriersmay apply.
  • ・When traveling within Japanese domestic sectors using a ticket for which the International Conditions of Carriage apply, international route baggage rules will apply.

Excess Baggage Charges

Excess baggage charges will be assessed in accordance with regulations in the event that excess baggage which exceeds the Free Baggage Allowance is checked in.Note, that the applicable currency and feeswill vary depending on your itinerary and the sectors for which your baggage has been checked in.We thank you for your understanding in advance.

  • (*2) The above fees are not applicable for the itineraries which are subject to U.S./Canada laws and regulations.
  • (*3)Total dimensions exceeding 292cm (115in.) or weight over 45kg (100lbs) per piece will not be accepted as check in baggage. Please note that we may not be able to accept baggage due to space limitations on certain routes/aircraft types, even for baggage with total linear dimensions which do not exceed 292cm.
  • (*4) Overweight charge (over 23kg(50lbs) up to 32kg (70lbs)) will be applied for tickets issued on/after April 1, 2015. For ticket issued on/before March 31, 2015, please refer to excess baggage charge for ticket issued January 7, 2015.
  • (*5) Except within Japan.

Applicable Currency and Fees

Depending on your itinerary and the segments of your checked-in baggage, the fee applied or the currency used for excess baggage charges may vary depending on the airport at which payment was made.

  • ●When payment is made in Japan: the amount set in Japanese Yen
  • ●When payment is made in the US: the amount set in USD
  • ●When payment is made in Canada: the amount set in CAD
  • ●When payment is made in Germany or France: the amount set in EUR
  • ●When payment is made in the UK: the converted amount in British Pounds based on the amount set in EUR
  • ●When payment is made in any region outside of the above countries: the converted amount in the local currency of the country from which you are departing, based on the amount set in USD
  • Note, however, that different rules may apply for itineraries which are subject to U.S./Canada laws and regulations.

In the Event that Two or More Criteria are Exceeded

In the event that two or more criteria, such as baggage number and baggage weight or baggage weight and size, are exceeded, the sum of all individual excess chargesshall apply.

Specific Examples of Excess Baggage Charges

●Passenger flying from Narita ⇒ Honolulu in Economy Class

  • If the passenger has 3 baggage items (all of which are 23 kg / 50 pounds or less with total linear dimensions of 158 cm / 62 inches or less)
23 kg / 50 pounds or less with total linear dimensions of 158 cm / 62 inches or less

Extra piece and overweight

20,000 Yen (Checked Bag #3) + 20,000 Yen (Size over)

Ticketing Service Charge

A Ticketing Service Charge is applicable to tickets purchased via the ANA telephone reservation center or at airport ticketing counters in the Americas.

Lost Ticket Refund Charge / Replacement Ticket Issuing Service Charge

If you have lost your ticket, ANA may issue a replacement ticket or you may be required to purchase a new ticket to continue travel. The service charge for issuing a replacement ticket is 10,000 JPY (or its equivalent in the currency in which the ticket was issued). The refund charge for the lost ticket is 10,000 JPY (or its equivalent in the currency in which the ticket was issued). For more information about lost ticket procedures, please seehere.

Unaccompanied Minor (Children 5 - 11 years of age traveling alone)

When passengers who are 5-11 years of age travel alone, the applicable fares are the same as adult fares; but there is no additional charge for ANA's services. Reservations for children traveling alone cannot be made online through ANA SKY WEB. Please contact the ANA Customer Service Center for details.

Rental Charge for Medical Oxygen Cylinder

Rental medical oxygen cylinders are available with advance notice to passengers for a fee of 10,000 JPY per cylinder. Medical oxygen cylinders may be requested through the ANA customer service center.
