ANA to Raise International Cargo Fuel Surcharge |

TOKYO September 13, 2006 - ANA today applied to Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to raise its surcharge on international cargo from the present ¥54 to ¥60 per kilogramme, from October 16 (Monday) this year. The raise comes in response to the continued high price of Singapore kerosene, which averaged over US$67 per barrel for 20 consecutive working days, almost three times greater than the equivalent average price of US$23.2 per barrel for the five year period from April 1, 1995 - March 31, 2000. Despite making operational efficiencies and efforts to reduce costs, ANA regrets that it must again ask customers to share the increased burden so that it may continue to provide quality, reliable services. |
