ANA Domestic Flight Awards

The mileage required for ANA Japan International Flight Awards was previously categorized broadly by itinerary zone, but starting 04/2008, a new awards chart based on segment distance and season went into effect.

Transfer and refunds due to inclement weather, etc.

Transfer to another ANA flight or a refund of miles will be made for delays or cancellations of flights due to acts of nature such as typhoons or snow.

When your flight is changed

Contact the ANA Mileage Club Service Center and reserve the transfer flight.

Applicable flight tickets

Delayed or canceled International Flight Awards issued by ANA reserved on flights operated by the ANA Group (including ANA Premium [double miles] Flight Awards [limited to Diamond Service])
(Tickets with numbers beginning with 205)

* Flight Awards issued using miles from the mileage programs of other airlines must be changed according to the procedures of the relevant Partner program. Note that reservation changes and refunds depend on the rules of the relevant Partner program.

How to change your reservation

We will change dates or routing to the following flights on a space-available basis.

International flights:
Flights operated by ANA (NH) or Air Japan (NQ)

Domestic flights:
Flights operated by ANA, Air Nippon, ANA WINGS (EH), as well as code shares operated by AIR DO (HD), IBEX Airlines (FW), SkyNet Asia Airways (LQ), and Oriental Air Bridge

(Reservations for both domestic and international flights will be made with ANA flight numbers)

About the miles difference when the seasonality changes due to change of date

Difference of miles will not be taken when the date is changed to a higher mileage season.

Difference of miles will be refunded when the date is changed to a lower mileage season.

* Difference of miles will be refunded to the account for the month of redemption in accordance to the validity of the miles used to issue the Awards.

* Miles expired at the time of refund procedures cannot be refunded.

* When a flight is delayed, the seasonality of the original departure date remains applicable, so we will not redeposit the mileage difference in your account.

When miles are refunded by canceling flight tickets

Contact the ANA Mileage Club Service Center within the refund period and apply for a refund.
If you have an airline ticket in your possession, you must return it. If you were issued an e-ticket, you may have to return the e-ticket voucher depending on how you paid the applicable taxes and fees, so be sure to ask.

(Tickets with serial numbers beginning with 205)

* Refunds for Flight Awards issued using miles from the mileage programs of other airlines depend on the rules of the relevant Partner program.
ANA will not accept applications for refunds of miles.

Period for accepting refund requests

Please inform us of items required for refunds within one year and 30 days from the start date of your trip (or from the date of issuance of your ticket, if you have not started your trip).

Miles refunded

Mileage refund fee is not charged.

Consistent with the expiration dates of miles used when the Award was issued, all miles will be refunded to your account for the months from which they were subtracted.

* Miles expired at the time of refund procedures cannot be refunded.

[After beginning your trip]

After calculating the number of miles eligible for a refund (see the calculation method below), consistent with the expiration dates of miles used when the Award was issued, miles will be refunded to your account for the months from which they were subtracted.

* Miles expired at the time of refund procedures cannot be refunded.

Transfer and refunds due to equipment malfunctions

Transfers to other ANA flights or mileage refunds will be made for flight delays or cancellations which are ANA responsibility, such as equipment malfunction.

Differences in required miles due to a change in the applicable season when you change the date of your flight

If you change the date to one that requires more miles, the difference in miles will not apply.

If you change the date to one that requires fewer miles, we will redeposit the difference in your account.

* All miles will be refunded, including mileage expired at the time of the refund process.
