ANA International Upgrade Awards

The mileage required for ANA International Upgrade Awards was originally divided into large groups by travel zone. Effective April 2008, a new awards chart linked with segment distance has started.

Refund policy for unused awards

Contact prior to the first segment of the itinerary and during the operation hours of the ANA Mileage Club Service Center.

Refunded mileage validity

Validity corresponds to that of the mileage redeemed for the Award.

Example of refund for unused Awards

Miles redeemed for Awards are refunded as miles for the months in which they were accumulated.
Refund fee miles are not charged.

When there are no expired miles at the time of refund
Miles redeemed = Refund miles
Ex 1: When refunding unused Upgrade Awards of 20,000 miles on 10/01/2010

When there are no expired miles at the time of refund

When expired miles are included at the time of refund
Ex 2: When refunding unused Upgrade Awards of 20,000 miles on 05/10/2013

When expired miles are included at the time of refund

* Miles expired at the time of refund procedures cannot be refunded.

If you have reserved an ANA Group flight that is delayed or canceled due to typhoon, snowfall, or other act of nature, and you are using an ANA International Upgrade award, the required miles necessary for the segment scheduled will be refunded.

* Miles expired at the time of refund procedures cannot be refunded.

Refunds due to equipment malfunction

If you have reserved an ANA Group flight that is delayed or canceled due to the actions of ANA, such as equipment malfunction, etc., and you are using an ANA International Upgrade Award, the required miles for the segment will be refunded. If there are miles that have expired at the time of the refund process, all miles including expired one will be refunded.
