Baggage notice for customers on international flights-

Some special rules of excess baggage may apply for sports equipments. Please see pages below for details.

Transpacific flights(including U.S.A and Hawaii)

GolfGolf Equipment

EX: NH201 (Narita-London) Economy Class
 
In case that the weight of baggage other than golf equipment is over free baggage allowance, the following charge will apply for golf equipment.
 
The weight of golf equipment is 6kg or more and under 15kg: A set of golf equipment is considered as piece equivalent to 6kg, the 6kg excess baggage charge will apply.
The weight of golf equipment is 15kg or more: The real excess baggage charge will apply.
If you have 2 or more sets of golf equipment, the second one is applied for the normal excess baggage charge.

1 Baggage (10kg) & 1 set of golf equipment (10kg)Total 20kg No charge applies, as total weights of under free baggage allowance.
1 Baggage (13kg) & 1 set of golf equipment (12kg)  Total 25kg 5kgs overweight.An excess baggage charge equivalent to 5kg applies.
1 Baggage (15kg) & 1 set of golf equipment (12kg)Total 27kg 7kgs overweight.When a set of golf equipment is 6kg or more and under 15kg, it is considered as 6kg. An excess baggage charge equivalent to 6kg applies
1 baggage (11kg) & 1 sets of golf equipment (16kg) Total 27kg 7kgs overweight.And a set of golf equipment exceeds 15kg.An excess baggage charge equivalent to 7kg applies.
1 Baggage (22kg) & a set of golf equipment (8kg)Total: An excess baggage charge equivalent to 8kg applies.

Ski (including snowboard and water ski)

EX: NH201 (Narita-London) Economy Class
 
In case that the weight of checked baggage other than ski equipment is over free baggage allowance, a set of ski equipment is considered as baggage equivalent to 3kg.
  An excess baggage charge equivalent to 3kg applies.
If you have 2 or more sets of ski equipment, the second one is applied for the normal excess baggage charge.

1 Baggage(10kg) & 1 set of ski equipment (6kg) Total 16kg No charge applies, as total weights is under free baggage allowance.
1 Baggage (14kg) & 1 set of ski equipment (8kg)Total 22kg 2kgs overweight. An excess baggage charge equivalent to 2kg applies.
1 Baggage (16kg) & 1 set of ski equipment (8kg) Total 24kg 4kgs overweight. But in this case, a set of ski equipment is considered as baggage equivalent to 3kg. An excess baggage charge equivalent to 3kg applies.
1 Baggage (22kg) & 1 set of ski equipment (8kg)Total: An excess baggage charge equivalent to 5kg applies.
Wind surfing/Surf board
The following excess baggage charges apply to windsurfing* or surfboards equipment, regardless of the booking class and cabin
   
* A set of windsurfing equipment includes one windsurfing board and a mast, boom and sale
** There are no special rules for Bodyboard, and the normal excess baggage charge applies

Surfboard length charge
1st surfboard The length of the board is not exceeding 277cm A charge equivalent to 5kg of the excess baggage charge applies. <see Ex1>
The length of the board exceeds 277cm A charge equivalent to 8kg of the excess baggage charge applies.<see EX2>
2nd of more surfboad If you have 2 or more surfboards, the second one is applied for the normal excess baggage charge.

EX: NH201 (Narita-London) Economy Class

1 Baggage (15kg) & 1 surfboard (7kg, 250cm)The length of the board is not exceeding 277cm An excess baggage charge equivalent to 5kg applies.
1 Baggage (15kg) & 1 surfboard (10kg, 290cm)The length of the board is exceeding 277cm An excess baggage charge equivalent to 8kg applies
1 Baggage (15kg) & 2 surfboards (10kg, 290cm and 5kg, 250cm)Total: An excess baggage charge equivalent to 13kg applies.
Bicycle(BIKE)

A bicycle (BIKE)* is considered as a piece of luggage and may be checked in as part of the free baggage allowance.
Passengers will be subject to normal excess charges when it exceeds free baggage allowance.

(BIKE)* should be non-motorized single seat or tandem seat bicycles.
(BIKE)* must be properly packed. Handlebars must be fixed sideways and pedals removed (or fixed inwards).
