Travel Assistance for Disabled Customers
Upper Body Holding Aid Equipment

For customers who have difficulty in remaining in a seated position, assist seats and support belts to hold the upper body (mentioned "support belt" hereinafter) are available on board.

 

Reservations

When you make a reservation, please inform us what type of assistance you require.

Early reservation for upper holding aid equipment is recommended.

As there is a limited number of the equipment, it is recommended to contact ANA Disability Desk and make a reservation as early as possible if you wish to use them. Reservation should be made at least 48 hours before the departure for domestic flights and 96 hours for international flights. (Please note that there are cases where we are not able to provide the equipment depending on the timing of reservation and other reasons.) You can use your own aid equipment, but the usage of certain types of equipment might not be allowed on board. Please make an inquiry with ANA Disability Desk if you wish to use your own aid equipment.

You can choose the size of Assist Seat that fits you better from two sizes (small type: for customers under 100 cm tall / large type: for customers under 150 cm tall).

  • When you make a reservation, please inform us your height, weight and the height from the seating face to your shoulders.
  • On code-share flights, Assist Seats are available only on the flights of Hokkaido International Airlines (Air Do).
ANA provides two types of Support Belt. Please be aware of the following, Support Belt is a supplementary belt to help keep an upright sitting position and designed only to hold the upper body. Please make sure to fasten seatbelt for safety. On code share flights, Support Belts are available only on the flights of Hokkaido International Airlines (Air Do) and Skynet Asia Airways. ・ Please contact ANA Disability Desk for further inquiry.

ANA provides two types of Support Belt.
Please be aware of the following,

  • Support Belt is a supplementary belt to help keep an upright sitting position and designed only to hold the upper body. Please make sure to fasten seatbelt for safety.
  • On code share flights, Support Belts are available only on the flights of Hokkaido International Airlines (Air Do) and Solaseed Air(*).
    (*) Skynet Asia Airways now has its new brand name of "Solaseed Air" from July 1st 2011.

Boarding

Please come to the airport well in advance.

On Board

When you use an assist seat, please be seated with your support belt fastened.

Please fasten both your seat belt and support belt.

Arrival

Customers who requested special assistance when deplaning, please remain seated until the staff arrive to escort them off the plane.
