Travel Assistance for Disabled Customers
Stretchers

Stretcher Stretcher

We can arrange stretcher service for customers who can not sit upright or need to lie down during the entire flight due to illness, injury or other conditions.
The stretcher is specially design for airplane use and passenger will be tied by a belt with body facing up thru the flight. (There are no stretcher services for certain aircraft type. Please contact ANA Disability Desk/ADD for detail.)

 

 

Reservations

When you make a reservation, please inform us what type of assistance you require.

Request deadline; 48 hours before departure for domestic flights, 96 hours for international flights

Reservation for a stretcher must be made with ANA Disability Desk at least 48 hours before departure for domestic flights, 96 hours for international flights.
We will ask your request such as flight date and number and contact you again later for confirmation.
Please note that we may not be able to satisfy your request due to installation conditions as well as lack of seat availability.

Escort

You must be escorted by a physician, nurse, or a doctor-approved person.

A medical certificate is required.

You must be certified by your doctor that you are fit to travel by air using a stretcher.

In case you need to use medical equipments on board, please contact ANA Disability Desk in advance.

An arrangement of ambulance or stretcher taxis must be done by passenger.

An extra stretcher fee is requested besides the applicable fare for both the passenger and escort.

Boarding

Please come to the check-in counter no later than 60 minutes before the departure for domestic flights, and 120 minutes for international flights.

  • On domestic code-share flights, stretchers are available on ORIENTAL AIR BRIDGE only.
  • On international code-share flights, please make an inquiry with the code-share partner.
