Carry-on baggage should be limited to one piece, must not weigh more than 10kg (22 lbs) and fit underneath the seat in front of you, or in the overhead baggage compartment. The dimensions of carry on baggage should not exceed linear maximum length of 115cm (45 inches),and each side should not exceed 55cm×40cm×23cm (22×16×9 inches), including any baggage attachments such as handles, wheels, etc. Personal belongings such as handbags, cameras, glasses, etc, may be carried on in addition to the above limitation. <Japan domestic flights connecting to international services>
When you use an international ticket for domestic sector, carry-on baggage allowance is under same rule as international sector. However there may be more limits based on available space and additional restrictions on small aircrafts (under 100 seats).

*	Effective December 1st, 2009, your carry-on baggage will be measured at the security inspection area in all domestic airports in Japan through a gauge installed on the X-ray machine. For oversized baggages, it is required to leave them as a checked baggage at the check-in counter.
*	You can purchase extra seats for your baggage occupying a seat because of its unsuitable size for carry-on baggage allowance, e.g. paintings, musical instruments, etc. Please contact to ANA for detail.

* Passenger seated in emergency exit row or bulkhead seat must stow all the belongings in the overhead compartment.

International baggage rule will apply to the customers boarding domestic flights with the ticket including international flights.

*	Over size luggage is not totalized and if one piece's weight exceeds 32 kg we will not accept the luggage depend on your destination, even if the other piece weights less than 32kg.

Baggage exceeding the free baggage allowance may be allowed with an excess baggage charge.

<Economy Class>
Baggage exceeding the free baggage allowance will be charged with excess baggage charge per piece (see above chart). Additional charge may apply depending on the size and weight of excess baggage. For baggage weighing over 23kg (50lbs) and up to 32kg (70lbs), 3,000yen (US 25 dollar) per piece will be charged for the first two bags. Please note that charge per piece is different between departure from Japan and departure from U.S.A..

(2) Other flights (including Europe):Weight system will be applied.
 
Excess baggage fee is 1.5 percent of the normal adult one-way economy class fare from departure point. (When there are two types of normal fares as in flights originating in Japan, the higher of the two fares will be used.) Please note that the fee per 1 kg is different between departure from Japan and that from other airports.

(3)	ANA will not be liable for any damage or loss as mentioned below. - damage to baggage from overweight or over-packing - damage caused by defects in the baggage itself such as from normal wear or tear, loss or damage to protruding parts such as detachable wheels ·  straps ·  hooks ·  name tags ·  belts or other attached items - minor damage such as scratches ·  scuffs ·  dents ·  cuts ·  dirt - damage caused by TSA (Transportation Security Administration) Inspection

The following items are not permitted as carry-on baggage.	Knives of any length, ski wax sprays, or any other items that could be used to cause injury, such as scissors, heavy or sharp tools, ice-skating shoes, baseball bats, golf clubs etc.

Due to revisions of the notification of Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, "Restrictions on the use of electronic items" were partially revised on and after Oct.1, 2007.
Following are the items cited in the notification, as the electronic devices which may interfere with the safety of flight operation.
You are required to comply with the above by Japanese Law, and failure to do so will result in a fine up to ¥500,000.

*1	During Takeoff: Until the fasten seat belt sign is switched off after takeoff or the announcement allowing the use of electronic devices is made.
*2	During Landing: After the announcement prohibiting the use of electronic devices is made, up until you leave the aircraft after landing.

 
ANA may restrict the use of a certain device regardless of the above.
 
All cellular phones emit radio waves automatically when they are turned on in order to send their position to the ground station. Please switch them off before boarding the aircraft and do not switch them on until after deplaning, as the waves may interfere with the systems of the aircraft. To prevent interference, restrictions also applies to electronic devices in the cabin even when the aircraft is on the ground.

Smoking and use of flammable is strictly prohibited in all seats including lavatories, as these constitute dangerous fire-hazards. The triggering of smoke detectors is a serious matter leading to emergency landing at the nearest airport.

For the benefit of other passengers, use of smoke substitutes ( electronic cigarettes, etc.) that do not emit fire is also prohibited on board.
