Press Release
No Change to International Fuel Surcharge for January - March 2008
- ANA retains surcharge at October – December 07 levels -

TOKYO November 22, 2007 - ANA today decided to maintain its fuel surcharge for January to March 2008 at present levels, despite the rising cost of jet fuel.

Since July this year, ANA has fixed its fuel surcharge for a three month period, revising it on the basis of the average market price of Singapore kerosene for the previous three months. Although jet fuel (Singapore kerosene) rose to an average of US$90.65 per barrel from August to October this year, ANA has decided to maintain the present levels in light of its continuing efforts to curb costs and increase revenues, taking into consideration the effect that a rise would have on its passengers and the effect of fuel costs on its performance for the current fiscal year.

Although ANA has avoided raising the fuel surcharge, it regrets that it must still ask its valued customers to continue to share the increased burden through the present surcharge.

Surcharge Levels (per person per single sector)

* Although Hong Kong falls within the same distance bracket as Taiwan, Guam and Vietnam, its fuel surcharge is currently lower due to reasons of government approval. ANA has applied to revise the fuel surcharge for this route in line with others of the same distance bracket from January 2008.

Conditions for Revision (and removal) of the Surcharge
(1) The fuel surcharge will not be revised for the three months from January 1, 2008 to March 31, 2008 regardless of market movements. The levels stated are subject to government approval.
(2) The level, form, and fuel price index for future fuel surcharges from April 1, 2008, will be fixed in line with international passenger fares for the next fiscal year.
(3) If the three months average cost of Singapore kerosene falls below US$45 per barrel the fuel surcharge will be removed altogether.

Notes
(1) The fuel surcharge applies to all fares, including discount fares, child fares and award tickets. It is not subject to any discount whatsoever.
(2) In the case of refunded tickets, the surcharge will be refunded in full and will not be subject to any charges.
(3) The actual amount of the surcharge is subject to government approval and may vary from that stated.
