Press Release
ANA to Reduce Fuel Surcharge on International Cargo

TOKYO March 9, 2009 - ANA today applied to Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) to reduce its surcharge on international cargo shipments from April 1, 2009.

In line with the new scheme announced previously on February 20, 2009, the next surcharge will be set according to the average price of jet fuel for the month of February, US$52.77– as reported by the US Department of Energy – and come into effect for one month from April 1.

ANA is pleased to pass on the benefit of the recent fall in the price of jet fuel to its valued customers as follows:

Revised fuel surcharge for international cargo (yen/ kilo) April 1 –, 2009*

*subject to approval by the relevant government authorities and may be changed without notice

Under the new scheme, the surcharge will be fixed for one month and revised on the average price of jet fuel for the month immediately preceding the announcement of the next revision. For example, the level of the surcharge for May will be announced in April, and based on the average price of fuel for the month of March.

Conditions for Revision (and Removal) of the Surcharge
If the monthly average cost of Singapore kerosene falls below US$30 per barrel, the fuel surcharge will be removed altogether.
