(Senior Vice President of the Americas) D. All three of the judges   Hiroshi Sugimoto: Born 1948 in Tokyo. Upon graduating from the Department of Economics at Rikkyo University, he moved to the U.S. where he studied photography at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles before moving to New York. Since then, he has held his own exhibitions at world-renowned art museums such as the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Guggenheim Museum and Cartier Foundation as well as participating in group and international exhibitions. He won the "Mainichi Geijyutsu Award" and "Hasselblad Foundation International Award in Photography" in 1989 and 2001, respectively.
