Visa Secure, Mastercard ID Check™, J/Secure™, American Express SafeKey® and ProtectBuy®
The ANA website offers five different payer authentication services, each of which are provided by a major international credit card brand and based on 3-D Secure, an online payment security protocol. The credit card brands are VISA, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, and Diners Club.
Service Overview
3-D Secure is a service to protect your card against unauthorized use by asking you to enter a password when purchasing a ticket on the ANA website using a credit card.

-When purchasing a Japan domestic flight ticket, you will need to enter the Security Code/the name on the credit card and verify your identity through the credit card company's authentication service.

-When purchasing an international flight ticket, you will need to enter your security code/cardholder information and verify your identity through the credit card company's authentication service.
Regarding the Service by Company
"Visa Secure" is a service to guarantee security when using a Visa credit card for purchases on the internet such as for airline tickets by requesting the user to enter a password which must have been set in advance following the procedures designated by the credit card company. This service can be used by entering the password set in advance when purchasing a flight ticket on the ANA website. Purchase of special software and additional software installations are not necessary.
J/Secure™ is a service to prevent unauthorized use of the credit card by confirming the card user's identity with a password to realize even more secure internet shopping.
By using Mastercard ID Check™ you can enjoy even more secure online shopping. When purchasing a flight ticket using a credit card marked with MasterCard®, the identity of the user can be confirmed in a few seconds when the user enters the password set for the Mastercard ID Check™ service.
American Express SafeKey® is a service that verifies the identity of the payer by asking them to enter a verification code upon making an online purchase through a participating merchant. The service helps to prevent card fraud as it requires the payer to verify their identity with a verification code.
ProtectBuy® verifies the identity of those using a Diners Club Card to make an online purchase or similar by asking them to provide additional information such as a one-time code and device information. (Service name: ProtectBuy®) Through this verification process, it prevents online credit card fraud and make payments safer and more secure.
