ONSEN & Gastronomy Walking Officially
Launched with Events in Aso Uchimaki and
Amakusa Shimoda Hot Springs

ONSEN & Gastronomy Walking are events held in Japan’s wonderful onsen hot spring regions that give participants the opportunity to discover each area’s unique nature and history, enjoy its great food and drink, and soak in the onsen hot spring baths.

As the administrator for the ONSEN & Gastronomy Tourism Association which promotes these activities, ANA Strategic Research Institute supports the development and growth of local communities.

The first official event of this project which launched last year, are ONSEN & Gastronomy Walking tours to support recovery in areas damaged by the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake in the southern island of Kyushu.

ANA Group employees and residents of the region worked together as a team to build excitement for the event.

ANA was a special co-sponsor for ONSEN & Gastronomy Walking in Aso Uchimaki Onsen on May 20 as a Kumamoto Earthquake Recovery Support activity. The event attracted approximately 360 participants!

At the ONSEN & Gastronomy Walking in Amakusa Shimoda Onsen held on May 27, the ANA Drone Team flew drones to take aerial videos.^(*)

Additional ONSEN & Gastronomy Walking events will be organized throughout Japan. We invite you to attend these events to enjoy the regions’ unique landscape, food and hot spring baths!
