Finally, Flight Service Begins to Hawaii on ANA’s FLYING HONU! Part 1 of 2

The world's largest A380 aircraft FLYING HONU on the Narita-Honolulu route finally takes off tomorrow!

Our guest editor will be the first to introduce to you the appeal of flying to Hawaii on ANA!

The flight departs from Narita International Airport at 8:10pm.

Arrival in Hawaii is in the morning of local time.

Would you like to enjoy the city for a while until check-in time at the hotel?
The recommendation for brunch is the Waikiki location of “bills” restaurant, famous for its pancakes, and who ANA is collaborating with for Economy Class in-flight meals. (*1)

By presenting a special card found on your in-flight meal tray, you will be offered a free soft drink with your meal! You can spend your time leisurely in the resort-like atmosphere and enjoy dishes such as the Ricotta Pancakes or Hawaii's signature Ahi Poke Rice Bowls on the signboard menu.

Also, the ANA Express Bus service which started on April 20 makes it convenient for going to T Galleria by DFS in the center of Waikiki and the big Ala Moana Center shopping mall. (*2)

There is nonstop bus service from T Galleria to the Ala Moana Center!
Customers who fly to Hawaii on ANA and are ANA Mileage Club members can ride for free by showing their ANA Mileage Club card or ANA Mileage Club App to the driver.

It’s an eco-friendly electric bus, and the livery is the same sea turtle design as that of the A380's FLYING HONU.

The blue bus reflecting the image of Hawaii's skies, and an orange bus that depicts Hawaii's sunset runs every 15 minutes, connecting Waikiki and Ala Moana in just 12 minutes.

This editor boarded and enjoyed the scenery from the window with comfortable air conditioning inside. There is also free Wi-Fi on the bus. Best of all, the bus service from T Galleria by DFS begins at 9:00am until the last bus leaving from Ala Moana Center at 9:45pm, making it convenient to ride all day long!

You can also use the ANA travelers’ exclusive Mahalo Lounge to take a break or for booking optional tours during your stay in Honolulu. (*3)

From May 20, the lounge can be accessed using ANA miles and advanced registration is required.

It is conveniently located next to the duty-free shop DFS on the second floor of the Waikiki Shopping Plaza on Kalakaua Road, in the heart of Waikiki.

Services available at the lounge are drinks, luggage storage before checking into your hotel or while shopping, as well as free Wi-Fi and recharging of your devices. Of course, Japanese is spoken.

Another attraction for ANA travelers is a new ANA Hello Tour product, the SAILING HONU chartered cruise, where you can enjoy the panoramic view of Honolulu from the ocean! It is an optional tour to commemorate the new A380 service and is available free of charge by prior registration in Japan.

The chartered yacht cruises leave at 3:00pm on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays until October 26 where you can enjoy panoramic views of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head.

If you’re lucky, you might see an actual Honu sea turtle on the cruise.

Beers and soft drinks are also provided free of charge, and the cruise is a recommended optional tour for an afternoon activity. You can also book the cruise once you’re in Hawaii for $40.

There are many fun things to do when you fly to Hawaii on ANA! Why not go to Hawaii on the A380 FLYING HONU?

Stay tuned for Part 2 tomorrow!
