Strengthening of Restrictions for Entry to Canada

Information as of 9:00JST,February 19th,2021.

Effective February 22, 2021, all travellers are required to take a COVID-19 molecular test when they arrive in Canada and stay in a government-authorized hotel for 3 nights while they await the results of the test. Travellers are responsible for fees, including testing, hotel stay and all other associated expenses.

In addition to the electronic submission of the negative COVID-19 test result obtained within 72 hours prior to departure in advance which has been in effect since January 7, 2021, all travellers are required to submit their travel and contact information, including a suitable quarantine plan, electronically via ArriveCAN prior to departure. If you do not submit the form before departure, you may be fined or denied entry to Canada.
