On the 5th floor of Terminal 1, there are Immigration booths, the baggage claim area, and Customs. Immigration can be reached from the arrival gates on foot, or by going to the 3rd floor and using the APM (Automated People Mover). The APM is convenient for those going between the Immigration Area and Gates 33-80. (Note: There are also moving walkways on the fifth and sixth floors). Passengers using the APM should go down from Area W1 to the 3rd floor, take the APM, and then come back up to Area E1 on the 5th floor.

On the 5th floor, there are also currency exchange booths, bus stops, taxi stands, a passageway to the train station, and the ferry (the cities in the Pearl River Delta) and bus (Macau and Zhuhai) transfer desk. If connecting to a ferry or bus, go from Area E2 to the dedicated APM stop on the 1st floor to go to SkyPier terminal.

Baggage Claim

To prevent the wrong luggage from being picked up, an airport staff may ask you to check for the luggage tag information at the luggage claim area.

Customs
  • Present your customer declaration form at the Customs if you have something to declare.
  • If you have items to declare, please go to the red counter.
  • If you do not have items to declare, go to the green counter.

Departure Terminal

Departing passengers should first go to the 7th floor of Terminal 1. This includes those arriving platform stop for departing passengers on the 6th floor.

Passengers transferring from ferries or buses should proceed to the ANA check-in counter (except for certain ferry routes). After checking in, please pass through security, complete your airport tax refund, and then proceed to the boarding gate.
Ferry/Bus transfer service

On the 7th floor, there are ANA check-in and ticketing counters, South/North Immigration booths, and security checkpoints as well as currency exchange booths, an information counter, bus stops, taxi stands, and Lounges.

After going through Immigration and security on the 7th floor, proceed to the 6th floor.

After reaching the 6th floor, proceed to your boarding gate on foot, or by using the APM (Automated People Mover) on the 3rd floor. On the 6th floor, there are currency exchange booths, information counters, and Lounges.

  • * Check-in at Hong Kong and Kowloon stations are currently suspended.
  • When the airport express to get to Hong Kong International Airport from Hong Kong Station or Kowloon Station, check-in and hand luggage check-in will be available at each station.

Instructions for Hong Kong International Airport

Ferry / Bus Transfer Service

  • * Some ferry services to and from Hong Kong Airport are currently unavailable.
    Please check the websites of the ferry operators for the latest schedules.

By using the ferry/bus transfer service, passengers are not required to go through immigration and Customs procedures at Hong Kong International Airport, and directly travel to cities in the Pearl River Delta and Macau.
Please check Hong Kong international airport website or the ferry and bus schedules.

Passengers who wish to use ferries should go directly to "Ferry connecting counter."

Procedure From Air to Ferry / Bus

This service is available for passengers arrival on ANA flights and connecting to ferry/bus on the same day.
After arrival at Hong Kong International Airport, follow the signs to the Ferry/Bus Transfer Counter locate at "Transfer Area E2" . It is not necessary to go through Immigration and Customs.

  • * If you have passed through Immigration and entered Hong Kong, you will not able to use the ferry/bus transfer service.
STEP1 Ferry / Bus check-in procedure

Please present your passport, boarding pass, and baggage tag to complete the check in procedures at Transfer Area E2.

  • * Closing time for Check-in
    • Passenger without check in baggage must arrive at the SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach Ticketing Counter located at Transfer Area E2 no later than 30 minutes prior to ferry/bus departure.
    • Passenger with check in baggage must arrive at the ferry/bus check in counter no later than 60 minutes prior to departure.
Baggage:

Please present the baggage tag at ferry/bus check-in counter. Your baggage will be transfer to your ferry/bus. It is not necessary to collect baggage at Hong Kong International Airport.

  • * Passengers transferring to the bus are required to reclaim your checked-in baggage at Skypier terminal and handover to the bus staff.
STEP2 Board the shuttle train (APM) to the SkyPier

Proceed to the dedicated gate next to ferry/bus counter, take the escalator to Level 1 and proceed to the APM (auto people mover/Train) platform. Take the APM to the SkyPier terminal.

Please note:
  • The entrance for the shuttle train (APM) is located immediately before the Immigration area. Immigration checks are not required. This transfer service cannot be accessed after passing through Immigration.
    ANA is not responsible for the operation of the ferry or changes to the ferry schedule.
Procedure from Ferry / Bus to Air

Check-in for ANA Group-operated flight departing from Hong Kong International Airport can also be conducted at the time of ferry embarkation procedures.

Procedures
  • Ground staff at each port will assist you with ferry/bus check in and ANA flight check in for passenger departing from Hong Kong International Airport.
    Check in baggage will tag through to your final destination.
  • Passenger who are unable to through check in at each port (e,g. Passengers required wheelchair service, or those with excess/oversized baggage) are required to retrieve their check in baggage at Skypier terminal and proceed to check in counter.
  • * Passenger did not check in for departure flights at each port are required to reserve a minimum of 110 minutes for transfer (from the schedule arrival time of the ferry/bus to schedule departure time of the ANA flight).
    Passenger who have completed check in for departure flights at each port are required to reserve a minimum of 80 minutes for transfer.
    Passenger are required to check in at ferry/bus ports at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
Conditions
  • This service is available to passenger who travel by ferry/bus and connect to ANA flights on the same day.
    The service is also available to passengers taking the last ferry of the day and connect to ANA flights departing on the following day (limited to NH812 and NH814).
  • A confirmed reservation with a valid ticket is required.
STEP1 Ferry/Bus check-in procedures

Ground staff will verify your ANA ticket, passport, baggage and connecting time before checking in at each port.

Ground staff will check in for both ferry / bus and ANA flight departing from Hong Kong International Airport.

  • * Passenger required special services (e,g. Passengers required wheelchair service, or those with excess/oversized baggage) are required to retrieve your check in baggage at Skypier terminal and proceed to check in counter.

  • If your ticket includes Hong Kong Airport tax, you will receive a refund form after check in.
    Proceed to Airport Tax Refund Counter (located at Skypier terminal, after security checkpoint and in front of the escalator going to the APM).
STEP7 Take the APM (Auto people mover) to Terminal 1
STEP8 Proceeding to your boarding gate
  • Please come to the boarding gate 30 minutes prior to your departure.
Notes
  • ANA ticketing counter is not available at ferry/bus terminals or Skypier terminal of Hong Kong International Airport. Please contact ANA reservation centre or travel agency in advance for purchase or change of air tickets.
  • For check in oversize baggage or special handling request, please contact any ANA Branch Office in advance.
  • 'Conditions of Carriage' of Ferry/Bus Company applies to all ferry/bus services operated between Hong Kong International Airport and respective ports.
  • Free carry-on baggage allowance for ferry/bus service is one piece per adult passenger. Excess baggage charge may apply to baggage exceeding the limit set forth by the ferry/bus company.
  • ANA is not responsible for misconnection due to ferry/bus operation delay.
