Itineraries

Stopovers

Your entire itinerary may have no more than 3 stopovers (a stay exceeding 24 hours). (When departing from overseas, only one stopover is permitted in Japan. When departing from Japan, stopovers in Japan are not permitted). Only one stopover is permitted for each city. Ground transportation during an itinerary is regarded as a stopover.

Example

Other itineraries

  • The departure location and the final destination on the itinerary may differ, but they must be in the same country. (Example 4)
  • The outbound destination and inbound departure point of an itinerary may differ. (Example 5)
  • Itineraries cannot pass through the country or region of origin en route to another destination. (Example 6)

Example

Example

Mixed classes

If you travel in different classes on an international itinerary of 2 segments or less, you will need half of the miles required for both classes combined. In the case of 3 segments or more, the number of miles necessary are calculated based on the number of miles needed for the highest class in the entire itinerary.

Note

Due to the rule prohibiting transit between 2 points in the United States, itineraries containing segments from the continental United States to Guam via Japan solely on ANA are not allowed. Similarly, itineraries containing flight segments from Guam to the continental United States via Japan solely on ANA are not allowed.

Transfers to Japanese domestic flights

  • ANA Japan domestic flights only
  • Passengers cannot use IBEX Airlines flight numbers.
  • When transferring from an ANA domestic flight with an ANA flight number to an ANA international flight or vice versa, flight awards can be used after calculating the number of miles required for the total itinerary including the domestic sector. However, stopovers (stays of more than 24 hours) are not permitted. For flights originating overseas, one stopover within Japan is permitted.
  • Reservations can only be made for Economy seats on the domestic sector.

Use of Flight Awards by Infants and Children

Infants

Infants (aged less than 2 years) using a flight award can occupy their own seat in exchange for the same number of miles as an adult. However, for newborns and infants who are not using a flight award, please purchase a separate infant fare ticket (the infant cannot occupy a seat) or a separate child fare ticket (the infant can occupy a seat) for the same class as the accompanying adult.

  • * Ages on the day of boarding of the first sector are targets.
  • * On domestic flights, ages for infants and children differ, as do the conditions for using awards.

Children

When children (aged above 2 but below 12 years) travel using a flight awards, they require the same number of miles as an adult.

  • * Ages on the day of boarding of the first sector are targets.
  • * On domestic flights, ages for infants and children differ, as do the conditions for using awards.

When miles are not required

Example: Age 1

1 infant (a child under the age of 2)
