Ayaori's Cherry Trees

A long row of cherry trees in Tono, the home of folk stories
A 1.2-kilometer stretch of cherry trees along the Sarugaishi River in the suburb of Tono City is known as "Ayaori's Cherry Trees" with its amazing spring scenery. The view of this river and Mount Rokkoushi through the cherry trees gives a sense of nostalgia that is typical to Tono City, which is famous as the home of folk stories.
Sarugaishi Sakura Road
A bicycle path, called Sarugaishi Sakura Road, runs alongside a row of cherry trees and the Sarugaishi River. There are many ways to enjoy this area, such as taking a leisurely walk and cycling with a rental bike, which is available at the Tono City Tourist Information Center near JR Tono Sation. Why don't you rent a bike and have a wonderful experience surrounded by the beautiful, nostalgic natural features of Tono?
