Takeo City Library

"Tastes of JAPAN by ANA" is a regional vitalization project that collaborates with the different prefectures in Japan to present the Land of the Rising Sun in all of its diverse glory.
Takeo City Library, in Takeo Town in Takeo City, Saga, was completely renovated into something that overturns the conventional image of a library, re-opening in 2013, with a cafe attached. The library’s interiors are bright and open, and you can enjoy a relaxing cup of tea while listening to the music that wafts through the spacious interiors. In 2017, the Takeo Kids’ Library opened next door. With many innovations that the whole family can enjoy, the library precinct has become a destination in itself.
As well as borrowing books, you can buy books, magazines, and zakka goods.
Be sure to check out the specially curated selection of stylish souvenirs.
At Takeo Kids’ Library, everything is designed from the child’s perspective, including the labeling of the bookshelves, the space to lie around and read books, and the secret rooms. It also has much for mom and dad to enjoy, including nursing rooms and a food court on the second floor. You can play and learn at the same time.
