Meet the Moomins and their friends (Moomin Valley Park)

Step into the world of the Moomins, and enjoy the enchanting stories and learn about the philosophies of creator Tove Jansson in the four areas of Poukama, Muumilaakso, Kokemus, and Yksinäiset vuoret. With fun attractions and charming cafes, you can spend a relaxing day in the company of the fantastic Moomins.

Have fun in the Hanno area

Besides metsä village and Moomin Valley Park, the city of Hanno offers various other attractions, such as the cherry blossoms in the spring, along with barbecues at Hanno-gawara riverbank and easy hiking on Mount Tenranzan in the summer. The moss-covered trekking course leading to Unotawa, an expansive flatland that suddenly appears at around 1,000 meters. Also, be sure to try delicious local foods like miso-zuke manju (miso-flavored dumplings) and Hanno sui-ton (soup with dumplings and local vegetables).
