Our Requests for Ensuring On-Time Performance

Thank you for flying ANA.

In accordance with an administrative notice from the Civil Aviation Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the Scheduled Airlines Association of Japan has established unified industry guidelines regarding carry-on baggage to ensure smooth boarding and on-time departures.
The implementation of these guidelines will not only ensure punctual operations but also enhance cabin safety by reducing the risk of passenger injuries caused by falling baggage.

Additional Requests to Our Passengers

  • Passengers may bring up to 2 items into the cabin: 1 carry-on bag and 1 personal item. Personal items must be small enough to fit completely under the seat in front of the passenger.
Passengers are requested to bring only carry-on bags that they can lift and stow in the overhead compartment without assistance.

  • The boarding gate closes 10 minutes prior to departure. You will not be able to board your flight after this time.
Please note that security checkpoints may be very crowded during long public holidays in Japan, such as the Year-end/New Year period, Golden Week, and the Bon Festival. Please pass through the security checkpoint with adequate time to spare and proceed to the boarding gate early.

Show up at boarding gate by: 10minutes before departure.
  • Passengers using the pre-boarding service will be invited to board before general boarding begins. Please arrive at the boarding gate approximately 40 minutes prior to the departure time.
