Strawberries from Yamamoto Town

Different varieties of strawberries are cultivated in this town, and visitors can enjoy strawberry picking in several farms between mid-December to mid-June every year. These varieties include those with their origins in Miyagi, such as Moikko, which is large in size with a refreshing sweetness, and Nikoniko Berry, which features red flesh to its core and the perfect marriage of sweetness and acidity. The information center in the market provides information on each farm and takes reservations for strawberry picking.
