Airport Procedures on Day of Departure (From Departure to Arrival) (International Flights)

This page will provide information regarding various procedures which need to be performed prior to boarding, including check-in and baggage inspections, for customers flying international flights.

STEP1 Airport Procedure

  • If you use online check-in and have no baggage to check in, there is no need to go to the check-in counter.
  • Please see Online Check-in: Usage Procedures for the procedures to be completed at each airport.
  • See "About Check-in" when checking in at the airport on the day of departure.

STEP2 Checking in baggage

If you have completed online check-in and have baggage to check-in, please proceed to the baggage drop counter. Checked-in baggage with have a priority baggage tag only for star alliance members.
Fragile luggage checked in will be given a special tag or sticker.

STEP3 Security Check

Baggage will need to be checked at the security checkpoint.
There may be long lines depending on the airport and time of day, so please proceed to the security checkpoint with adequate time to spare.

STEP4 Immigration

You must present your travel documents.
Immigration is completed at this step.

STEP5 Boarding and Disembarking

Take some time to relax in one of our lounges before you depart.

About Boarding
Boarding will proceed after the elderly, passengers traveling with small children aged 2 and under, expectant mothers, those who require help, and passengers flying first class and business class have boarded.
Note: Priority boarding is not available for premium economy passengers.
About Disembarking
Disembark after first and business class passengers.

STEP6 Immigration

You must present your travel documents to proceed with immigration.
Necessary documents may differ by the country.Please check in advance

STEP7 Baggage Claim

Pick up your baggage after passengers flying in First Class.
