Specially Painted Aircraft for the World Cup in France FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TOKYO-15 May 1998 All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (ANA), Asia's most popular airline, is planning to specially paint two Boeing 747-400 aircraft on scheduled international services commemorating the World Cup.
Across the fuselage will be painted "GOAL! GOAL! GOAL!" in bold print using ANA's corporate color "triton blue", wishing for the success of the Japan National Team. To the left of the bold print will be the sub element "flame" and to the right will be the emblem of the Japan National Team, both painted under the cooperation of the Japan Football Association. Also, underneath the bold print will be a message of good luck to the Japan National Team printed in Japanese. The two specially painted B747-400 aircraft are scheduled to fly mainly on the Tokyo-Paris route on ANA's scheduled services from 29 May, publicizing the participation of the Japan National Team to the whole world. Besides the two specially painted aircraft, ANA will operate 12 extra flights "Reve Japonais=the Japanese Dream", featuring special in-flight services to be only experienced on ANA.
