ANA Takes Part in UNICEF "Change for Good" Fund-Raising Campaign FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TOKYO-21 September 1998 All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (ANA) announced its participation in UNICEF's "Change for Good" fund-raising campaign. Starting 1 October, the airline will provide UNICEF loose change envelopes on ANA-operated flights to Japan from New York, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles. UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) developed "Change for Good" airline fund-raising activities, such as in-flight donation envelopes, with the cooperation of airline companies world-wide. Since 1991, airlines have raised some eight million US dollars through "Change for Good" fund-raising activities. These funds have been used to help save the lives and promote the education of children throughout the developing world. ANA will introduce the "Change for Good" campaign to passengers through in-flight announcements and videos. Loose change envelopes will be placed inside seat pockets. ANA has participated in UNICEF fund-raising since November 1996 by placing collection boxes in the ANA lounge at Narita Airport. Expansion of fund-raising efforts to participation in the "Change for Good" campaign is a part of ANA's commitment to serving the community and practicing good corporate citizenship as a global airline.
