TOKYO-1 October 1998 All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (ANA) ,today has completed the sale, dated 30 September, of its San Francisco and Washington D.C. ANA Hotels to Lowe Enterprises, Inc.

The sale has been made as a part of ANA's restructuring plan, in which the company outlined its policy to streamline its associated businesses. The timing of the sale was decided to promise the best return on ANA's original investment.

As a result of the sale, ANA will no longer be involved in the management of the two hotels, which will be called The Washington Monarch Hotel and The Argent Hotel San Francisco.
