Additional Information Main Points of ANA’s response to the SARS Outbreak
In addition to implementing initial measures in line with World Health Organisation recommendations, the ANA SARS Crisis Management Team met on 03 April and decided to put in place the heightened precautionary measures listed below with immediate effect (unless otherwise indicated). These measures apply to the WHO designated affected areas to which ANA flies. At the present time, Japan has no reported cases of SARS.

Cabin disinfection |

Aircraft serving Hong Kong - Tokyo, and Hong Kong - Osaka (Kansai) routes will undergo disinfection of the cabin after arrival in Japan and Hong Kong.
Aircraft arriving in Tokyo and Osaka (Kansai) from Singapore, and in Tokyo from Taipei will also be subject to disinfection from 04 April.
The areas to be disinfected are: seat back tray tables, arm rests, window blinds, toilets, galleys. |

Provision of Masks and Disinfectant Hand Wipes |

Masks and disinfectant hand wipes will be made available to passengers in all classes, upon request, on the following routes: Tokyo/ Osaka (Kansai) - Hong Kong; Tokyo/ Osaka (Kansai) – Singapore; Tokyo – Taipei. |

Health questioning at check-in |

Passengers will be subject to additional questions in relation to their state of health on check-in at Hong Kong. This has been in place at check-in at Singapore since 31 March, and in Taipei since 28 March. |

Cabin crew masks |

To further reassure our passengers, Cabin Attendants will wear masks while providing service on board all flights arriving in Tokyo/ Osaka (Kansai) from Hong Kong. |
