ANA Expands International and Domestic e-ticket Product
– more connections to the USA on American Airlines –
– e-tickets extend across all ANA Group Flights –

TOKYO December 14, 2005-Passengers travelling on itineraries which include connections between ANA and American Airlines flights will from tomorrow be able to travel using just one e-ticket.

So-called 'interline' e-tickets, valid for travel on more than one airline, make the travel experience smoother and easier from buying to flying. At present ANA offers interline e-tickets with 11 of its Star Alliance partners, including United Airlines of the USA. The development with American Airlines brings the total number of companies to 13*, counting a link with British Airways which began in September this year.

Interline e-ticket links with remaining Star Alliance members will continue to be rolled out, and ANA will in tandem develop links with other major carriers outside the alliance to further improve passenger convenience and amenity.

Also from December 15, e-tickets will be available for Air Nippon flights between Tokyo's Narita Airport and Taipei, thus completing the e-ticket coverage of all routes offered by ANA Group.

"This is exactly what customers are asking for and we are bringing it to market as quickly as possible," said Shin Nagase, ANA Executive Vice President, Sales Strategy and Marketing. "Our present take up of e-tickets stands at 27%, and as we are able to offer more and more interline e-ticket connections we expect that an increasing number of passengers will want to use this very attractive product," he continued.

Until March 31, 2006, ANA Mileage Club (AMC) members taking advantage of e-tickets on international flights, and who use ANA's Smart e-Service to check-in via mobile phone, will receive bonus miles as part of the ongoing Smart e-Service Bonus Mile Campaign. Customers wishing to take part should refer to ANA Skyweb: www.ana.co.jp.
