Pilots of Air Nippon, A-Net, Air Next and Air Central Threaten Strike
on November 16
- 24 hour strike action affecting domestic flights -

TOKYO November 14, 2006 - The pilot union of Air Nippon (ANK), a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of ANA, and the pilot unions of three other ANA Group airlines have threatened to take 24 hour strike action commencing midnight on Thursday, November 16, to express dissatisfaction with the management stance on their year-end demands regarding pay and conditions. The unions in question are: Air Nippon Crew’s Association, composed of 421 pilots; Air Nippon Network Pilot Union, composed of 48 pilots; Air Next Crew’s Association, composed of 15 pilots and Air Central Pilots’ Union, composed of 43 pilots.

The management of Air Nippon, Air Nippon Network, Air Next and Air Central will continue urgent negotiations with the unions to avoid a strike. If strike action is taken, many ANA* domestic flights will regrettably be subject to cancellation and/ or delay.

Passengers intending to take ANA domestic flights on November 16 are kindly requested check the status of their flights with the ANA Reservations Center (0120-029-709), on ANA SKY WEB (www.ana.co.jp/eng) or by contacting any ANA branch.

Air Nippon and the other companies involved extend their sincere apologies for the inconvenience this will cause customers and thank them for their understanding and patience.
