ANA and StarFlyer to Code-share on Tokyo - Kitakyushu
- ANA’s network expands to include Kitakyushu from June 1 -
- convenient connections between ANA and StarFlyer -

TOKYO April 12, 2007 - ANA and StarFlyer will commence code-sharing on flights between Tokyo’s Haneda Airport and Kitakyushu, from June 1 this year.

The agreement will see ANA put its flight code, NH, on ten daily StarFlyer operated roundtrip flights, adding Kitakyushu - a city in the southernmost of Japan’s four main islands - to the ANA network for the first time since 1983.

This is the latest development in a working relationship which began in February 2006, when StarFlyer started using able, ANA’s reservation system, and ANA training facilities.

As StarFlyer aircraft depart and arrive from Terminal 1 of Haneda Airport - while ANA occupies Terminal 2 - ANA self-service check-in units will be placed in Terminal 1 to facilitate check-in. They will also be located at StarFlyer check-in counters in Kitakyushu Airport. Using 2D barcode and contactless-chip technology, they allow passengers to check-in and receive their boarding passes in a matter of seconds.

Furthermore, passengers connecting between ANA and StarFlyer will be able to check their baggage through to their final destination, making their journey simpler and more convenient.
