New Domestic Fares for April - September 2008

TOKYO January 16, 2008 - ANA will raise normal domestic fares by an average of 2.6% or ¥430 per sector for flights taken from April 1 this year to reflect the burden of increasing fuel costs, which have outstripped last year’s record high, a trend expected to continue in fiscal year 2008.

“We are expecting our fuel bill for the current fiscal year, ending March 31, to be almost ¥40 billion higher than in fiscal 2006 and regret to ask customers to bear a further share of the increasing cost burden, which we can no longer absorb through own efforts,” said ANA president & CEO, Mineo Yamamoto. “We will, of course, continue to do our best to reduce costs, while raising revenues, wherever possible,”

The hike will not apply to certain discount fares, such as the popular Tabiwari or Chowari.

At the same time, new discount fares will be introduced to provide customers with greater choice and value. They include a Japan Domestic Connection Fare, for itineraries involving more than one sector, and a special commemorative Premium Pass. The latter offers unlimited domestic travel for one year in Premium Class - which is to be introduced on April 1. Only one hundred Premium Passes will go on sale on March 1 and a further hundred on June 1, valid for travel from April 1 and July 1 respectively. Each Premium Pass will cost ¥3 million.

Details of the new fares may be found on ANA Skyweb: www.ana.co.jp/eng.
