Final charity auction begins for opportunity to fly on ANA’s
inaugural flight of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner

The auction for one Business-class round-trip ticket ends October 3, 2011

TOKYO September 26, 2011 - ANA, Japan’s largest airline, today began the second and final charity auction for an opportunity to fly on the special Boeing 787 Dreamliner charter Tokyo-Hong Kong flight.

The auctioned package includes a Business-class round trip ticket on the world’s first revenue flight of the revolutionary new Dreamliner model and includes one-night’s hotel accommodation at the award-winning Kowloon Shangri-la hotel in Hong Kong. The flight package, departing Tokyo-Narita on October 26, 2011 and returning back from Hong Kong on October 27, 2011, is being auctioned on eBay and will end Monday October 3, 2011.

ANA’s first charity auction of a pair of business class seats on the flight closed today with the highest bid reaching US $18,604.44. All proceeds of both auctions will be donated to two charitable non-governmental organizations, OISCA-International and Conservation International Japan (http://www.conservation.org), to support their environmental conservation activities.

The organizations have been chosen to mark the environmental credentials of the new eco-friendly Boeing 787. The use of composite material and advanced aerodynamic means it is the first mid-size airplane capable of flying long-range routes while cutting fuel consumption by approximately 20% compared to the conventional aircraft of its size.

The Dreamliner also features a host of new technologies providing value to airlines and unparalleled levels of comfort to passengers. Passengers will benefit from larger windows with electro-chromatic shades, bigger onboard luggage storage space and lower cabin pressure.

The winner of the auction item will receive a special 787 boarding certificate and an original ANA neck strap to commemorate the inaugural flight. The fuel surcharge, airport tax for Hong Kong, and the passenger facility charge or the passenger security service charge for Narita Airport are all included. The auction reserve price is 150,000 yen for the single ticket.

Please be advised that passengers under the age of 20 years old cannot board this flight.
