TOKYO December 7, 2011 Shinichiro Ito, President and CEO of ANA Group, was named the Person of the Year 2011 by Orient Aviation magazine, the leading commercial magazine in the Asia-Pacific region.
Unveiled yesterday in the December issue of the magazine, Shinichiro Ito was judged as demonstrating the highest level in leadership, imagination, outstanding business ability and an appetite for revolutionary change. Orient Aviation noted that it has been a good year for ANA which welcomed the delivery of the B-787 Dreamliner as its launch customer.
The Orient Aviation Person of the Year was launched in 1998 to honor the airline CEO in Asia Pacific that had delivered the most outstanding performance on all levels at their airline. This is the 15th year of the award, and previous winners have included Emirsyah Satar, Garuda Indonesia president and CEO, Chew Choon Seng, Singapore Airlines CEO, and Tony Fernandes, AirAsia CEO.
ANA Group will continue working hard to exceed passengers' expectations and deliver an outstanding in-flight experience, helping ANA to achieve its goal of becoming Asia's number one airline.
