ANA Introduces A321neo

~ First ANA domestic flight to have personal seat monitor ~

Tokyo, September 7, 2017 - Today, All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan's largest and only 5-Star airline, became the country's first carrier to take delivery of an Airbus A321neo (new engine option). The aircraft was handed over in Hamburg, Germany on September 5th(local time). The very first A321neo will arrive in Japan on September 8th (local time) and is scheduled to begin service on Japan domestic routes to/from Tokyo/HANEDA Airport starting mid-September.

Compared to its current version, the A321ceo (current engine option), the A321neo achieves 15% better fuel efficiency (*1). Currently, there are only four companies in the world that are operating the A321neo, and ANA will become the first in Japan. By the end of FY2023, ANA is planning to receive eight more of the A320neo (total of 11), twenty-one more of the A321neo (total of 22), and three of the A380 (total of 3).

ANA has configured its A321neo with eight seats in Premium Class and 186 in Economy Class. Premium Class features power-adjustable seats, while all seats in both classes have personal seat monitors, which is the first for ANA to have on its Japan domestic flights. "ANA Wi-Fi Service" is also available, and by adding a 194 seater aircraft to its fleet variation, ANA aims to better respond to the day by day varying demand with the most sufficient sized aircraft.

With this new A321neo, ANA will continue to enhance customer convenience and provide a safe and pleasant journey to all passengers onboard.
