WELCOME ON BOARD AND THANK YOU FOR FLYING
WITH ANA TODAY

Let me begin by wishing everyone a wonderful new year. I hope that 2016 will be a fantastic year for all of you.

As in previous years, I began the new year with ANA’s traditional “hatsuhinode (first sunrise)” excursion flight. I gazed out of the window as the light of the first dawn illuminated Mt. Fuji, brought my hands together, and sincerely prayed that this year will be bright and full of positive energy.

ANA made significant strides in 2015 to provide greater convenience, higher quality services, and more innovative products to our customers. For example, we expanded our network with four additional international destinations-Houston, Kuala Lumpur, Brussels, and Sydney-and increased the frequency of flights to Shanghai, Guangzhou, Bangkok, Singapore, and Honolulu. Our focus on quality also earned us the prestigious Skytrax 5-Star Airline ranking for the third consecutive year. Furthermore, we continued our efforts to attract visitors to Japan and revitalize local communities in the country through the Tastes of JAPAN by ANA project. The ANA brand also reached further than ever before thanks to the ANA STAR WARS™ project and its spectacular R2-D2™ ANA JET, our sponsorship of ANA Inspiration, the first major championship of the 2015 LPGA Tour, and our role as an official airline partner of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The efforts described above illustrate ANA’s indomitable spirit as well as our commitment to ensuring convenience and comfort, and more will be implemented in 2016. We will take delivery of 13 Boeing 787s this year and introduce all of these comfortable, fuel-efficient aircraft into service on international routes. While maintaining the largest route network in Japan, we will also actively expand our international network with additional routes, including a new Narita- Wuhan service that will be launched in April. More product improvements which aim to increase customer comfort, such as the introduction of fully lie-flat seats in Business Class on flights to Vancouver and Mumbai, will be implemented as well. In addition to continuing to encourage visitors to come to Japan, promote regional revitalization within Japan, and expand the ANA STAR WARS™ project, we will also support Japan’s national teams at this summer’s Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. All of these efforts will hopefully position us well to support the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.

There will undoubtedly be many changes ahead in the future, but regardless of what they may be, at ANA we remain united in our commitment to prioritize safety and provide customers with more convenient and comfortable journeys. We look forward to continuing to serve you in 2016.
