Koshukin Manju

Japan's first coins originated from Yamanashi Prefecture. The gold leaf placed on the bun represents a coin of that era.
All the main ingredients—the bamboo charcoal mixed in the dough, and the milk and sweet potatoes used in the filling—come from Yamanashi Prefecture.
