Application and Ticketing Deadlines

Application Period

From 09:00 (JST) 355 days prior to the departure date until 96 hours prior to the departure of the first sector.
However, reservations can be made after starting the application for all sectors of the itinerary.

Ticketing Period

Tickets will be issued when reservations have been made for all award ticket sectors of the itinerary. However, if a ticketing period has been specified, tickets will be issued during that period. Reservations will be automatically canceled if tickets are not issued within the ticketing period.
Reservations will also be canceled if reservation and ticketing procedures are not completed by 14 days prior to the departure date.

  • *When making a new reservation through the ANA website, there may be cases when the reservation may not be accepted if its itinerary overlaps with that of an existing reservation.

Ticketing Service Charge

A ticketing service charge will apply when a ticket is issued by ANA for a new ANA international flight award reservation.
For tickets issued in Japan, the ticketing service charge is JPY 2,160 (including tax). For tickets issued in other countries, please refer to the table below.
Ticketing service charges do not apply to tickets which are issued through the ANA website.

  • A ticketing service charge will be applied to each set of tickets for each person.
  • Ticketing service charges will be waived for award tickets which are issued for children under the age of 12.
  • *1 For tickets issued by the ANA International Reservation Center, a ticketing service charge of EUR 15 will apply.

Waitlisting

Waitlisting is accepted for 1 flight on 1 one-way sector.
However, if there is another flight for the same sector as the waitlisted flight, and a seat on said flight is secured, then waitlisting will not be accepted.

Specific Examples

[Example 1] If a seat is secured on a Narita-Singapore flight departing on August 1, then waitlisting will not be accepted for the same flight departing on August 2.
Reason: A seat is secured on another flight for the same sector.

[Example 2] If a seat is secured on a Singapore-Narita flight departing on August 5, then waitlisting will not be accepted for the Singapore-Haneda flight departing on the same day. Reason: A seat is secured on another flight for the same sector (Singapore-Tokyo).

[Waitlist Holding Limit] Until 14 days prior to the departure date for the first sector.

A notification will be sent to the registered email address when a seat has been secured via waitlisting.
When seats for the entire itinerary have been secured, please complete ticketing procedures within the ticketing period designated in the separate notification.
Reservations will be canceled if ticketing procedures are not completed within the designated ticketing period.

  • *Duplicate reservations to purchase tickets for the same class are not accepted.
  • *Based on the seat availability situation for the flight, waitlist reservations may not be accepted.

Open Tickets

Open tickets cannot be issued.

Changes

Before Ticket Issuance

Changes can be made until the expiration date of the award ticket.

Changes to the following reservations cannot be made through the ANA website. Please contact the ANA Mileage Club Service Center.

  • Itineraries with stopovers in multiple cities.
  • Reservations (or changes) which were made by phone through ANA.

After Ticket Issuance

The departure date and flight can be changed until the ticket's expiration date.

[Change Acceptance Period] Until before the departure of your reserved flight and 24 hours prior to the departure of the flight you wish to board. The following changes cannot be made if you do not change or cancel your reservation by the departure of your reserved flight.

Points to Note After Ticket Issuance

  • The names of the passenger and the AMC member who is providing the miles cannot be changed.
  • The airline, passenger, sector, route, and service class* cannot be changed.
    • *Even if the itinerary you wish to change to has the same zones as your original itinerary, the change described above is not permitted.
    • *If ANA and Air Japan operate multiple flights for the same sector, then an airline change will be accepted.
  • Reservations cannot be made more than 355 days in advance of the departure date.
  • Reservations for partner airline award tickets cannot be converted into ANA international flight award reservations.
  • If a departure date change results in a change in the seasonality of an award ticket, the required mileage will be adjusted. If the required mileage increases, you must use additional miles to account for the difference.
    If the mileage account does not contain the required number of extra miles, then the reservation cannot be changed. On the other hand, if the required mileage decreases, the difference will be refunded.
    However, miles that have expired at the time of refund processing cannot be refunded. Only miles can be used to account for differences in required mileage. Other payment methods such as cash cannot be used.
  • When making changes to an unused ticket, differences may arise due to adjustments to fuel surcharges, taxes, etc. Such differences will be notified at the time of the reservation change. (Even if the original reservation was made before April 11, 2015, if a change was made to the unused ticket for the first sector on April 12, 2015, the terms and conditions for the new date will apply.)

Changes to the following reservations cannot be made through the ANA website. Please contact the ANA Mileage Club Service Center.

  • Itineraries with stopovers in multiple cities.
  • *When requesting a change to a lower service class than the one which was originally reserved due to seat availability in that lower service class. (However, the required mileage difference between the 2 classes will not be refunded.)
  • *When a ticket for the sector was issued based on the required mileage for a service class that was higher than what was originally reserved, and a change to that higher service class is requested due to seat availability.
  • When requesting to be placed on a waitlist due to the preferred flight being fully booked. (Procedures must be completed by 14 days prior to the departure date of the new flight.)
  • When the itinerary contains flights (other than the one to be changed) which depart within 24 hours.
    Example: A reservation includes an outbound flight departure on April 1 and a return flight departure on April 10. In this case, the reservation for the return flight cannot be changed on March 31 (24 hours prior to the departure of the outbound flight).
    • *Changes can only be made through the ANA Mileage Club Service Center before the departure of the originally reserved flight and by 24 hours prior to the departure of the new flight. If reservation changes or cancellations are not made by the departure time of the originally reserved flight, changes to all subsequent flights will not be permitted. The exchange/reissue service charge will not apply.
Procedures to Make Changes

After logging in, use the Members-only Features (ANA International Flight Awards - View Reservations) to complete the procedures.

  • *Procedures for changes cannot be completed at the airport.

Award Collection

The e-Ticket Itinerary Receipt can be collected via email or post. To prevent delivery errors, the e-Ticket Itinerary Receipt will only be sent to the email address or postal address that is registered to the AMC member's account.

  • *It cannot be collected at the airport.
