Tofu-chikuwa, included in the bento box, is a specialty of Tottori Prefecture made from tofu mixed with white-fleshed fish paste. Deep-fried eggplant marinated in ginger-flavored dashi stock provides a light, refreshing taste, and you can enjoy these items together with rice garnished with edamame beans.

This bento box includes two types of finger sandwiches: herb chicken and sweet pumpkin. A muffin topped with sweet corn and cheese makes for a delicious savory snack. The meal also comes with an appetizer of potato salad combined with scrambled eggs, served with ratatouille, chorizo, green peas and flat-leaf parsley. For dessert, we have a medley of ruby grapefruit, kiwifruit, and apple.

Start off the meal with an amuse-bouche of olives with cornichons, and appetizers of roast beef and an Italian salad featuring smoked salmon trout and beans. The entrée is saffron rice with creamy Japanese littleneck clam sauce, topped with baby scallops, carrot, sweet corn, and dried parsley flakes. The meal is rounded off with a strawberry mousse for dessert.

Yoshimura (Japanese Cuisine)
Located in Hasune, Itabashi Ward, Tokyo, Yoshimura boasts a spacious garden and a traditional yet modern dining space on its 3,300-square-meter premises. The restaurant offers simple yet sophisticated dishes that bring out the natural flavor of ingredients carefully selected from across the country. Yoshimura is also particular about the plates and bowls it uses, regarding them as something that adorns the food served. Diners can enjoy their meal in a luxurious, distinguished setting, furnished with specially selected wooden tables and a solid wood counter made of Japanese cypress.

This well-balanced meal includes grilled Japanese sea bass marinated in citrus-flavored soy-based sauce, simmered righteye flounder, burdock root salad, and tofu lees cooked with vegetables. The meal comes with colorful gomoku rice cooked with a variety of ingredients. Enjoy these simple, delicious, colorful items together with the rice.

This bento box features dishes that go well with both rice and alcoholic beverages, including righteye flounder accented and baked with mashed potatoes, simmered sardines with pickled ume plums, and simmered chicken with winter melon. The rice is steamed with tea and topped with conger eel strips. (The black grains on the rice are Arima-sanshoberries, a variety of Japanese pepper.) Enjoy these simple, delicious, colorful dishes together with the savory rice.

Begin your meal with a variety of appetizers: shrimp with mayonnaise sauce infused with crunchy flying fish roe and crispy vegetables; prosciutto-wrapped mango; pumpkin salad with whole grain mustard; edamame bean and cheese stick roll-ups; eggplant and tomato salad with spicy meat sauce; and blanched pork slices and cabbage dressed with curried mayonnaise. Alaska's signature butter rice with Japanese littleneck clams and sweet corn is cooked in beer and vegetable broth. You can also savor chicken rolls with cheese and perilla leaves, and garlic-sautéed shrimp and eryngii mushrooms.

The bento box includes a variety of appetizers: jellied minestrone; potato salad with prosciutto and cucumber; celery and deep-fried octopus marinated in barbecue sauce; crunchy green beans dressed with sour cream; and a Vietnamese-style spring roll filled with salt-sautéed pork and mizuna leaves, served with a spicy sweet chili sauce. Alaska's signature butter rice with tender shrimp is cooked in beer and vegetable broth. You can also try their hamburger steak topped with cheese and deep-fried, herb-crusted white fish.

Flowers growing by the roadside can bring warmth to our hearts and a smile to our faces.
Just like those flowers, the chefs at Ruka hope their dishes will make their guests beam with delight. The restaurant's logo is the violet. In the language of flowers, violets signify happiness and faithfulness, reflecting the spirit of the chefs working earnestly to bring culinary pleasure to their guests.

Senshin (Japanese Cuisine)
Located near Yakuin-odori subway station in Fukuoka City, Senshin welcomes its guests into a tranquil dining setting, furnished with a solid wood counter made of ginkgo at which diners sit and enjoy their meals. Dishes served at Senshin are prepared meticulously by chefs using seasonal ingredients, with particular attention paid to the use of dashi stock. Guests can experience the spirit of Japanese cuisine in each of the dishes, which are prepared using traditional knowledge and sophisticated techniques.

The meal features sautéed beef intensely seasoned with flavorful herbs and spices, which goes perfectly with both plain steamed rice and alcoholic beverages. Also included are deep-fried shrimp in kadaif noodles; savory tofu paste mixed with sweet corn and edamame beans, which come into season in summer; assorted simmered vegetables lightly seasoned with soy-based stock; and Miso-matsukaze cake. Each item is carefully prepared and beautifully arranged in the box to give passengers a taste of Senshin.

Ginger and bacon rice is seasoned with black pepper to give it a spicy accent, and is accompanied by beef simmered with flavorful vegetables. The meal also features namul, a Korean-style side-dish made with steamed chicken, cucumber and bean sprouts, and grilled Atlantic cutlassfish flavored with sake and salt and topped with pickled vegetables, both of which go well with alcoholic beverages. Also included is a simmered dish of watermelon and pumpkin, seasoned lightly with soy-based stock. Each item has been carefully prepared and beautifully arranged in the box to give passengers a flavor of Senshin.

Taking pride in having been a purveyor of fine dining for the Owari Tokugawa family, the restaurant offers exquisite dishes prepared with a sense of Japanese-style hospitality.
