About the Service

When departing on an ANA Group operated flight or Star Alliance member airlines operated flights, you can spend time at designated lounges at the airport until your boarding time. In addition, Diamond, Platinum, and Super Flyer members status is equivalent to Star Alliance Gold status. Premium members who are boarding Star Alliance member airlines operated flights, can access to as many as 1,000 Star Alliance member airport lounges worldwide.

Terms of Use

The lounges are available for premium members. Guests entering the lounges with a premium member, as traveling guests or those who are registered as an award users are eligible to use ANA SUITE LOUNGE vouchers. Miles, Upgrade Points or ANA SUITE LOUNGE vouchers may be required.

Primary member
In order to use our designated lounges, premium members are asked to show their premium status cards. Super Flyers members (Primary Members / Registered Family Members) are asked to show their Super Flyers Lounge Cards. Million Miler customers, who have reached 2 million lifetime miles flown on ANA Group operated flights, are asked to show their Lounge Access Cards. Bronze Service members can use miles or Upgrade Points to access the lounges.
Traveling Guests
Lounge access is available for guests who enter the lounge with a premium member together. Guest must depart on the same flight on an ANA Group operated flight or on a flight operated by a partner airline*1 with the member.
  • *1Please note that access policies vary by airline. Depending on partner airlines who are not Star Alliance member accompanying traveling guests may not be eligible for lounge use.
Registered Award Users
Guests who are not visiting the lounge at the same time as the premium member must complete Award User registration in advance.
Premium members may use Upgrade Points allowing up to 5 guests to enter the lounge. Guests must be registered in advance as award users to use this service when boarding domestic ANA Group operated flights and a code share flight*2 with an ANA flight number. Award users must be within 2 generations (family members of the relation in the second degree.)

Passengers with ANA SUITE LOUNGE Vouchers
These vouchers allow you to use ANA designated lounges, such as ANA SUITE LOUNGE and ANA LOUNGE. Please hand your voucher to the ANA SUITE LOUNGE representative upon entering the lounge. One voucher allows access for one person. Other than Premium members, all members who hold an ANA SUITE LOUNGE voucher may use.

To enter a lounge, please touch the lounge access reader with the same IC or 2D barcode you used when passing through Security.

  2. The traveling guest then touches the lounge access reader with their IC card or 2D barcode used at Security.

Using Miles or Upgrade Points

When accessing the lounge, please inform the staff your preference in using Upgrade Points or miles. The lounge staff will confirm the premium member's account and check the balance in the account. Then they will deduct the amount of required miles or Upgrade Points per guest from the member's account.

International Flights

When boarding ANA Group operated flights or Star Alliance member airlines operated flights After you have completed the check-in procedures for the flight you intend to board, please submit your ANA Mileage Club app digital card or status card and your boarding pass to enter the lounge.
Using Miles or Upgrade Points

When accessing the lounge, please inform the staff your preference in using Upgrade Points or miles. The lounge staff will confirm the member's balance of miles or Upgrade Points, and then deduct the required amount per guest from the member's account.

  • Lounges may be used in exchange for miles or Upgrade Points only when boarding ANA Group operated flights or Star Alliance Member Airlines operated flights.

  • There are limited number of seats available for Upgrade Points.
  • When boarding on a higher class of service after upgrade is used, flight miles will credited as the original ticketed booking class.
  • Upgrading or use of Upgrade Points cannot be used on board.
  • Upgrade Points cannot be used on Japan Domestic flights that does not have a premium seats.
  • (International flights) Economy class tickets cannot be upgraded to First Class.
  • (International flights) It may not be possible to make an additional reservation (double reservation) for air ticket(s) in the same class of service.
  • (International flights) Upgrade awards cannot be used on package tours and other applicable inclusive tour fares, or on ineligible booking classes.

When traveling on ANA international flights (ANA Group Operated flights and ANA flight number flights only) , ANA Diamond Service Members can upgrade by using double Upgrade Points* with ineligible booking class. This service will apply when higher class availability requirement is met on the departure date. (such as meal, seat, amenity etc) When your travel is originating from Japan, upgrade request can be made at regular amount of Upgrade Points required for reservation ticketed on H class.

  • Accompanying guests is not eligible to upgrade using this service of applying double Upgrade Points. Registered award users will not be eligible for this service.
  • This service is not available in reservation by awards.
How to apply
  1. Please be sure to contact the Diamond Service Desk the day before boarding date to request for this service.(applications cannot be made via the ANA Website).
  2. Upon checking in, please confirm upgrade service has been requested with the ANA staff at the airport counter on the day of departure.

When boarding United Airlines operated flights

Airline ticket must be purchased and ticketed to be able to use Upgrade Points. Apply for higher class of service on eligible booking class.

  • Certain tickets such as pre-arranged group discount tickets, international airline tickets, and tickets issued by other airlines, is required to check-in at the counter.

Please go to the check-in counter and request seat upgrade with Upgrade Points.
When wait-listed for upgrade
At the check-in counter, please request to be wait-listed for seat upgrade.
You will be issued a ticket with a number after wait-list.
Procedures for Registered Award Users
On the departure date, go to the check-in counter and request seat upgrade using Upgrade Points. The self service check-in kiosk cannot process upgrades.

International Flights

Reservation Desk You can apply from 355 days before your boarding day (not including the date of departure) until 24 hours before departure through the ANA website after logging in or contact the Premium member service desk*.
However, when upgrade requirements are met at the airport (seats in a higher class, meals etc.), upgrade may be possible upon check-in counter on the day of departure.
  • If you reside outside of Japan, please contact the nearest ANA Mileage Club Service Center.
  • Reservation cannot be made if you do not have sufficient points.
  • Please go to the ANA Website or contact the Premium Members Service Desk for cancellations or for Upgrade Point refund.
  • After the reservation is confirmed, the Upgrade Points will be deducted from the member's account.
When upgrade is confirmed
Please follow the procedures using Online Check-in or the Self Service Check-in kiosk (for airports without machines, please go to the check-in counter).
When wait-listed for upgrade
Please use Online Check-in or the Self Service Check-in kiosk (for airports without machines, please go to the check-in counter). Seats may become available on the day of departure. Please confirm at the check-in counter. When seats are available on the day of boarding, check-in will be processed in the upgraded class.
If the upgrade is not available, check-in will be arranged based on the class of the purchased ticket.
When using on the day of departure.
Upgrades are possible when the required conditions for upgrades (seats in a higher class, meals, etc.) are met. Please inquire at the check-in counter on the day of departure.
  • We recommend making advance reservations due conditions may vary on the day of departure.
  • If you are connecting from a flight operated by another airline, please ask an ANA staff member at the airport counter of your first ANA flight.
  • The following departure tax differs according to boarding class. Upgrades using Upgrade Points are also subject to these duties.
    Please note that even if the ticket has been issued, tax based on boarding class must be paid at the airport.
    U.K. Air Passenger Duty: Applicable to passengers departing from any airport in the United Kingdom.
    French Air Passenger Solidarity Tax: Applicable to passengers departing from any airport in France.
