TOKYO, 04 April 2003 - ANA today filed with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport a reduction in capacity on its Hong Kong and Singapore routes. This is in response to falling demand due to the Iraq War and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The present double daily Tokyo - Hong Kong service will be reduced to a daily service. Reduction on the Tokyo - Singapore route will be achieved through use of the smaller 214 seater Boeing 767-300ER series, as opposed to the present 292 seater Boeing 777-200. Frequency on this route remains unchanged. Osaka (Kansai) - Hong Kong and Osaka (Kansai) - Singapore routes remain unaffected at the present time. |
