1. SeMS: A Security Management System Based on International Standards
ANA has introduced the SeMS, which complies with Annex 17 to the Chicago Convention, adopted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as the global standard for aviation security.
SeMS is a framework for systematically managing aviation security policies, organizational structures, and quality control.
Even in the face of constantly changing global situations and emerging threats, we thoroughly implement security risk management—a fundamental component of SeMS—to continuously maintain and improve security levels across the entire organization.
Furthermore, aviation security cannot be achieved by the ANA Group solely. It is essential to build a seamless security network by working closely with all stakeholders involved in our operations, including national governments, airport operators, other airlines, and contractors.
2. Certified at Level 2 of the IATA SeMS Program
ANA has obtained "Operating (Level 2)" certification to the IATA SeMS Certification Program in December 2025.
This certification officially verifies that ANA's SeMS has a solid foundation in alignment with international standards, and it is the highest level attainable upon a first entry to the program.
ANA remains dedicated to pursuing world-class security quality and continuing to provide safe air travel for all our customers.
