American Express® Membership Rewards® Program

When you use your American Express card, your Membership Rewards points can be converted to ANA Mileage Club miles.

Eligible for cards issued in the U.S.

For each $1 (USD) spend, you earn 1 point that can be converted to 1 mile.

Important Notice: Delays in American Express Point Transfers

Some transfers of Membership Rewards points from U.S.-issued American Express Cards to ANA Mileage Club miles requested around August 19 and September 3, 2026, have not been reflected in customers’ mileage accounts.

For affected transfers, the points will be returned to customers’ American Express Membership Rewards accounts.

If you requested a transfer and the miles have not appeared in your ANA Mileage Club account, please contact American Express customer support directly. American Express can review your transfer and assist you with the point reversal process.

American Express is also preparing to reverse the remaining affected transfers. We will provide a further update once the timeline has been confirmed.

Information

  • You can convert points to miles in units of 1,000.
  • It takes 2-4 business days to transfer Membership Rewards points to your ANA Mileage Club account.

Condition

  • The Membership Rewards points must be posted to your ANA Mileage Club (AMC) account before seats can be reserved.
  • Once points have been transferred to your ANA Mileage Club account, the transaction cannot be reversed.
  • Please allow 2-4 business days for a transfer to be completed.
  • Login to your ANA Mileage Club account to confirm that points were transferred. Then choose “Award Reservation” or “Award Upgrade” in My AMC Account, and follow the steps for booking your reservation online.
  • The transaction may be cancelled by American Express® even after points have been transferred to AMC.
  • Transfer points are limited to one transfer per day.
  • Please note that the name in both the ANA Mileage Club account and Membership Reward account should match.

Accrual Method

Please join American Express membership Rewards program (free of charge). Points will be accumulated each time you use your American Express card.
