Toyota Automobile Museum

The Toyota Automobile Museum, located in Nagakute, Aichi Prefecture, opened in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of Toyota Motor Corporation. Approximately 140 vehicles from around the world await car enthusiasts. The main building centers on exhibits of actual vehicles in addition to an introduction of the history of cars from their birth and development over the years. The annex building hosts special exhibitions several times a year.
The museum shop is undoubtedly one of the most popular features of the Toyota Automobile Museum. Car fanatics will be thrilled with the lineup of items, including the museum's original 1/24 scale Toyoda Model AA miniature car and Toyota 2000GT-related goods. Unique spoons and forks with handles shaped like wrenches were previously covered by the media. Visitors can also purchase ready-to-eat retort pouches of the popular curry served in the museum restaurant.
Visitors can choose from two dining options in the museum. The restaurant in the main building offers mainly Western-style dishes, with reasonably priced, innovative lunch menus created by skilled chefs. In the annex building, there is a book cafe where you can enjoy drinks and light meals. After viewing the museum, relax with a cup of coffee and chat about cars as you go through photo and art books. Both facilities are located in the admission-free zone and open to everyone.
