Eat, see and experience Tokyo in a strolling adventure

As the gateway to Japan, Tokyo is packed with locations to enjoy everything from food to culture, hot springs, subcultures and more. Here are great spots easily accessible by train.

      (map) Tokyo Tokyo

      Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai

The tourist venue consists of Toyosu Jogai Edomae Ichiba, offering various dining options, and the spa complex Tokyo Toyosu Manyo Club. Enjoy various shops that feature fresh produce from the adjacent Toyosu Market, as well as popular sushi and unagi restaurants.

      Kiyosumi Shirakawa

Discover one of Tokyo’s top cafe-clustered areas. After enjoying a perfect cup of coffee, leisurely explore the town, experiencing the nostalgic Japanese atmosphere in the Kiyosumi Gardens and at the Fukagawa Edo Museum. Or appreciate modern art at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo.

      First Avenue Tokyo Station

Located just outside of the ticket gate in Tokyo Station, the indoor entertaining street is full of things to eat and see, such as the Tokyo Ramen Street, lined with popular ramen shops, the Nippon Gourmet Road bringing to you tastes from established eateries from around the country and the Tokyo Character Street featuring popular mascots and characters.

      Meiji Jingu Shrine

Meiji Jingu enshrines the late Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. While the shrine is situated close to bustling areas like Harajuku and Shibuya, it is enclosed in a vast forest, making it hard to believe you’re in the heart of a big city. A notable power spot found in the imperial gardens called Kiyomasa’s Well is a must-see. When paying a visit, dress appropriately and calmly offer your prayers.

      Akihabara

Akihabara is known for its two faces: a town of electronics and a mecca for subcultures. Explore the numerous shops specializing in various fields of electrical appliances, as well as assorted anime goods shops. The nearby Kanda Myojin Shrine also offers a glimpse of traditional Edo culture.

      Symphony Tokyo Bay Cruise

Marvel at the dynamic scenery as you cross under the Rainbow Bridge and take in the breathtaking view of Tokyo from the sea. With four cruises, including lunch, afternoon, sunset and dinner, you can select the best time to include it in your trip itinerary for an unforgettable experience. Online reservations are available until two days prior. Any time after that requires a phone call to reserve.

      Haneda Airport Garden

Directly connected to Haneda Airport Terminal 3 and featuring hotels, a spa facility and various restaurants, Haneda Airport Garden is the perfect spot for last-minute shopping and getting yourself ready before departure.
