"Tastes of JAPAN by ANA" is a regional vitalization project that collaborates with the different prefectures in Japan to present the Land of the Rising Sun in all of its diverse glory.
Furumine Shrine was founded around 1,300 years ago in dedication to Yamato-Takeru-no-Mikoto, a prince and mythological folk hero of ancient Japan. The shrine is also famous for enshrining the Tengu, a legendary creature with magical powers said to be the messenger of the prince and which wards off disasters.
A spacious garden on the premises of Furumine Shrine, Furimine-en Garden is a stroll garden built utilizing the grounds' vast natural landscape and drawing a stream from the beautiful Oashi River. Relax with a bowl of matcha tea in the serene tea room, or enjoy a meal or sweets made from fresh local produce at the tea house.
