The must-see sight of Yunishigawa Onsen during the winter
The Kamakura Snow House Festival is a winter tradition of Yunishigawa Onsen held from late January through early March every year. The entire spring resort comes alive in the atmosphere of the snow festival, from the main site of Heike Village, a tourist facility that introduces the romantic history of the Heike clan, to the miniature kamakura of Sawaguchi Riverbed recognized as a Night View Heritage of Japan and the beautiful illumination of the hot spring town.
Experience traditional kamakura snow house at Heike Village
At the main site of Heike Village, large kamakura snow houses are built all around. In addition to looking inside and observing, visitors can also enjoy sleigh rides at the snow play area. At night, candles are lit inside miniature kamakura houses, softly illuminating the entire village. (Charges apply for entrance and sleigh ride.)
