Yamanashi Prefectural Flower Center: Heidi’s Village
Experience the world of the Swiss children's book Heidi in a theme park full of beautiful flowers
Yamanashi Prefectural Flower Center, known as Heidi’s Village, is situated on a scenic hill with a panoramic view of the Southern Alps. Seasonal flowers bloom throughout the expansive theme park featuring an impressive recreation of a village in the Swiss Alps, the setting of the classical children's novel-turned-Japanese-animation-series Heidi. The entire family can enjoy the park through the Segway guided tour, road train, and reproduction of the Alm mountain hut from the beloved animation.

Enjoy the world of the animation series at the Heidi Theme House
The Heidi Theme House recreates the Swiss Alps village where Heidi lived in a massive four-meter-wide diorama. Look for the famous tree swing that Heidi plays on during the opening theme song. There is also a panel exhibit of summaries of all episodes of the animation series with pictures of notable scenes, and visitors can watch the actual show. The exhibit is something not just for anime fans but for children and the entire family to enjoy as well.

Seasonal flowers in the panorama flower garden
Walk in the entrance gate and through the stone paved courtyard to find the beautiful panorama garden, spread over a gentle slope with the quaint Swiss-style townscape in the background. One of the best views of Heidi Village, the garden is adorned with flowers in every season, and the violas and tulips rivaling each other's beauty is a splendid sight in early spring.
