Karatsu Kunchi Hikiyama Float Exhibition Hall

Karatsu Kunchi is the regular fall festival of Karatsu Shrine. It is the largest festival in Karatsu. In 2016, the float ritual of Karatsu Kunchi was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Karatsu Kunchi is held on the three days of November 2, 3, and 4. Ibusuki Sunamushi Onsen sand bath is the world’s one and only natural sand bath. The health benefits of the sand bath are said to be three to four times greater than that of a regular hot spring.
