Our Requests to Passengers Regarding Power Bank Use (Applicable to flights boarding on/after July 8,2025)

In accordance with a request from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, we are strengthening our measures against smoke or fire from power banks onboard aircraft to ensure a safer and more comfortable flight for everyone, and we kindly ask for your cooperation with the following:

  • Please do not store power banks in the overhead compartments.
Please keep the power bank in a place where you can always check it, such as in hand or in a pocket in front of your seat, so that you can take immediate action in the event of a malfunction.
  • When you charge portable electronic devices from a power bank on board, or charging a power bank from an in-flight power supply, please make sure to charge it where you can see it.
When charging electronic devices such as cellular phones, or when charging power banks from the in-flight power supply, please inform our cabin attendants immediately if you notice anything wrong.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we strive to provide pleasant and comfortable flights.
