Working toward reducing Environmental Impact as an Airline Group with Airline Operations at the Core

Foreword
In 2015, the Paris Agreement was signed at the 21st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP21), and the Government of Japan also set goals for reducing greenhouse gases.
In addition, following the resolution of the 2016 International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) General Assembly, carbon-neutral growth (CNG2020), which does not increase CO2 emissions from the international aviation sector, has become an international commitment since 2021.
In 1998, the ANA Group organized the "ANA Group Environmental Principles" and established the "ANA Group Environmental Policies" in June 2017.
In 2021, the 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26) was held in Glasgow. The Paris Agreement’s central aim is to strengthen the global response to the threat of climate change by keeping a global temperature rise this century well below 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels and to pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase even further to 1.5 degrees Celsius. The ANA Group has been working to reduce the environmental burden based on the medium- to long-term environmental plan "ANA FLY ECO 2020 (FY2012-FY2020)".
We have set a long-term environmental goal "2050 net-zero" as a goal after FY2021, and have formulated a goal "2030 Environmental Targets" to be achieved by FY2030 toward that goal. We are promoting our efforts as a leading airline group in the environmental field.
